GSSSB Assistant Architect Recruitment 2025 Vacancy

GSSSB has released 21 vacancies for the Assistant Architect (Architectural Assistant, Class‑3) position under Advt. No. 343/2025‑26 in the Roads & Buildings Department. Recruitment is for government roles, with application submitted online via OJAS. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture to apply.

GSSSB Assistant Architect Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must be an Indian citizen or fulfill the prescribed nationality conditions.

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture obtained from:

• A university established or incorporated by or under a Central or State Act in India, or
• An educational institution recognized or deemed to be a university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.

• Must possess basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

• Must have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
• The candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to get himself registered with the Council of Architecture, New Delhi under the Architect’s Act, 1972 at the time of his appointment, if he is not so registered.
• The candidate must be between 18 to 35 years of age as on 18/8/25. (Women candidates of the general category, male and female candidates of the reserved category, ex-servicemen, disabled candidates are eligible for age relaxation).

GSSSB Assistant Architect Recruitment 2025 Exam Pattern

• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
• There will be an option “E” for each question. If a candidate does not want to attempt a question, they must darken the “E” option. If a candidate leaves a question blank and does not darken any option, a negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applied.
• The medium of the examination will be Gujarati/English.
• The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the competitive examination.

GSSSB Assistant Architect Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The selection process includes a Written Examination followed by a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). Candidates must qualify the written test to be shortlisted for CPT. Final selection will be based on merit, considering performance in both stages. Document verification and eligibility compliance are mandatory before final appointment. Only shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next stage.

The final selection will be made based on the merit of the marks obtained in the competitive examination. The merit list will be prepared based on the total marks of 300. The candidate must obtain at least 40% marks in the competitive examination to be considered for the merit list.
