Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in any one of the following areas or a closely related interdisciplinary field:

  • Traditional Indian Architecture
  • Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS)
  • Sanskrit
  • Indian Philosophy / Darshanas
  • Indian History of Science, Mathematics, or Astronomy
  • Vedic Studies / Nyaya / Mimamsa / Vedanta
  • Ayurveda / Yoga
  • Classical Indian Literature
  • Humanities or Interdisciplinary Studies with a strong focus on Indian Knowledge Systems

Essential Requirement

Applicants must have proficiency in Sanskrit, including the ability to:

  • Read Sanskrit
  • Write Sanskrit
  • Speak Sanskrit

Eligibility Criteria

  • Retired Professors, Associate Professors, Engineers, Scientists, and Academicians with a Ph.D. from reputed institutions/organizations are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates below 70 years of age are eligible.
  • The eligibility and experience requirements will be governed by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India guidelines.

Contract Duration

  • Initial appointment up to one year
  • Extendable by another year based on institutional requirements and performance
  • Further extensions may be considered as per Government of India guidelines
